Main Features
Cold deformation of the plastic medium, cutting resistance is acceptable but poor welding. Compared with the 30Mn2 steel, high carbon content, higher strength, abrasion resistance and hardenability, quenching in oil critical diameter of 7.5 ~ 20mm, but the plastic is slightly lower, and the sensitivity of white spots overheating and temper brittleness and tendency to crack easily formed when water quenching tendency.
Application examples
Usually quenched and tempered or normalized state to use in heavy and medium machine building, used as connecting rod, spindle, axle, crank, cold heading bolts and other mechanical parts requiring high stress; in agricultural machinery, used as a shovel hoe, hoe shovel handle and other wear-resistant parts; in the manufacture of small cross section (diameter <20mm) steel parts can be used instead of 40Cr.
